Jaq is an interdisciplinary artist working in choreography, performance, music production, screen dance, installations, film editing and education. Their current works seek to track the vast multitudes of change, growth and redaction within cyclical patterns. After attaining their MFA in Dance, Jaq worked as a teaching artist and dove into gender advocacy and education. In 2016, Jaq and their spouse combined creative endeavors into jaqxedenmarcel, creating installations, music and performance art. Jaq's works and performances have been seen in Philadelphia, Miami, Anchorage, Ogden, Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles and throughout the Bay Area.
